These alternative artist personas exist primarily to distinctly separate the different musical styles I create, especially due to challenges faced with SoundCloud’s approval process. SoundCloud often has issues with artists specifying themselves as remixers in their distribution forms, as they typically assume remixes involve other people’s works. While it seems impossible (according to them?) to remix your own tracks and distribute them, I sometimes wonder how others actually handle this. I just can’t make sense of it.

Sometimes, I regret the decision to host everything on SoundCloud, but its user-friendly interface remains very inviting. It allows me to share and upload works without necessarily defining them as official releases. I can also upload other audio without going through that process, if I need to share something with others. Despite this, copyright still matters, meaning there are some gray areas and boundaries left to navigate. The flexibility is great, and there’s naturally room for mixes and similar creations as well, although MixCloud is safer from other artists’ point of view since they, of course, deserve their recognition.

So who are they?

The Housifyer is dedicated to crafting house beats, tech house, techno, rave, and other pulsating electronic sounds, delivering infectious grooves and rhythms that capture the energy of the dance floor. Meanwhile, The Rhythm Shifter explores everything beyond The Housifyer’s scope, diving into Drum & Bass, breakbeats, and other experimental creations that defy genre boundaries.

Both roles serve to highlight the art of remixing on SoundCloud, showcasing versatility, creativity, and a passion for reshaping music.
